This comes of course as a reaction to what is happening in Russia and Ukraine right now. Someone in the Kremlin has taken a too deep breath of the embalmed corpse of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin and feels like on a mission to reunite the Soviet State. It´s enraging that this imperialistic thinking has made such a surprise comeback and with such grave consequences on top. It´s horrible, upsetting, it once again makes you realize how great it would be if we forgot about this weird idea of a nation. A nation to belong to, to die for, to forcefully reunite. If the 20th century has taught us one thing then it´s we have to come up with something better.

So here is my coping mechanism. A few minutes of claustrophobic noises, uneasy soundscapes, a sense of inescapability, even a mean riff, bracketed by quotes from the man himself, threatening the world in the beginning, while a rocket hits a residential building (a recording from last night), and admitting at the end that his fate may be a gruesome one: „They say that those who are destined to be hanged are not going to drown.“ he said in an interview a few years ago. Take his words, there is hope.

The cover is a screenshot from a short video of a car being run over by a tank. While the incident seems authentic – there´s video material from different angles and reports about what happened to the car driver – it´s more of a symbol for the current war in general. And it´s taken from what has now become an unsafe home.
The car driver survived, by the way.

This piece can be downloaded for free, used for everyone´s unpleasure, I´ll just leave it here. Money this may generate will be donated to Doctors without Borders.
